Red Damask Basket Bag
This is such a beautiful fabric I don't know how I ever cut into it. I bought it on my last trip to New York in a wonderful fabric shop called Purl, where they had the most lovely selection of cottons. This is an update on a classic pattern, the damask, and as you know classic patterns are making their rightful comeback, whether it's on the wallpaper for your living room or the bag on your arm.
As usual this basket is sized large enough to carry A4 documents, and is strong enough to carry them too.
The main attractions:
-
an attached metal clip on a fabric strip, so that you can attach keys or a coin purse for easy retrieval
-
a slip pocket on the inside large enough for your phone
-
sturdy enough to stand up on its own
-
big enough to carry lots of A4!
-
metal feet on the bottom to protect the fabric
-
fastens with a magnetic snap under the tab top
